The new Stargate uniform I won in the last video contest has arrived! I'm only wearing the jacket here, but it came with the pants and undershirt too. It came with patches this time! Exciting stuff! ;P

VERY BUSY JANUARY!!
Yeah, Brandon's wedding video is not in the mail yet. You can blame the Monte Carlo hotel and casino, not me! :)

Yes I made another trek to Vegas! I stayed at the Tropicana this time... I've never stayed there before... The room kind of smelled like a rotting, dead, fish... The bell boy wanted to have a 20 minute conversation about the tv biz after my 15 hour shift (and he got it because I'm so darn nice)... and the $20 breakfast buffet was full of rotten fruit, bacon that surely did not come from a pig and world famous cheese wiz omlets...

My collegue, MB, did not fare much better... Everynight she had to walk by quite the spectacle...

Bad Karaoke! Yeah, ok, I think I got the short end of the stick here. I would have gladly walked past some off key Celine Dione rather than breathe in the fishy stench of my room 6-8hrs a night. I have done all of my tens of readers a favor. I have braved the Tropicana so you don't have to! :)
But hey, It takes more than a smelly room, bad food, a weird bellman, and long work hours to ruin my day! I HAD AN AWESOME TIME!! I saw so many old vegas friends I hadn't seen in ages. I walked away a winner again (my luck will surely run out if they keep sending me to Vegas this often!). I had time for one nice dinner at Fusia in the Luxor.
Dave just got back home from some shopping. He says there is something for me! I'd better go and fill you in later!

I've finished editing Brandon and Diane's wedding video. I'm hoping to get it mailed out this weekend! :)

RESULTS OF THE STARGATE VIDEO CONTEST HAVE ARRIVED!
As you may remember, I finished 2nd in the last contest and won a Stargate Atlantis uniform. That sounds impressive (well, maybe) until you find out 1st place won a Mac Laptop and a live video chat with David Hewlett!

This time around, the prizes were the same only the live video chat is with Amanda Tapping. So how did I do?

I logged onto the contest page and saw a topic called 'results'. I paused for a moment. This is it. This is the moment I've been waiting for. This is the last moment I will have where I have that exciting anticipation of knowing I could possibly win a Mac, chat with AMANDA FREAKING TAPPING and throw a huge party to boot. I clicked on the thread. They listed the winners in descending order:
10th place-- nope, not me!
9th place-- not me either!
8th place-- not me!
7th place-- nope!!
6th place-- nope!!!
5th place-- nope!!!!
4th place-- NOPE!!!!!
3rd place --NOPE!!!!!!!

--this could only mean one thing. I have either won another uniform, or I have won the grand prize. I was very hopeful because the 2 videos I thought could beat me had already passed by. I slowly scrolled down:

Yeah, that was anticlimatic, sorry! I won 2nd-- again. I won another uniform which I will undoubtedly force my family and friends to wear in my next attempt to win the laptop, chat and awesome stargate party.
